This appointment is a short 10-minute TeleMidwifery phone call so we can introduce ourselves and discuss which service you might be interested in.

If you are keen to proceed, we then organise a booking-in visit where I come to you at a time that suits you to get booked in!

  • 60-90mins
    $250 ($73.75-$110.55 Medicare rebate = ~$176.25-$139.45 out of pocket)

The booking-in appointment is an initial consultation to book into my care. This is a chance for us to meet, talk through your pregnancy care plan, and discuss your individual needs, preferences, and questions. We’ll also complete an antenatal check to ensure everything is progressing well.

This appointment is ideally booked before 12 weeks of pregnancy, or as soon as you find out you’re pregnant. I can provide:

    • All ultrasound requests

    • Antenatal blood test requests

    • Prescribe medications for morning sickness

    • Referral to your chosen maternity hospital

    • Referrals to other services as required

This is an in-person antenatal visit providing ongoing support and care throughout your pregnancy. These appointments are an opportunity to check in on your physical and emotional wellbeing, monitor the health of you and your baby, and discuss your pregnancy journey as it unfolds.

Each appointment is unrushed and tailored to your needs and current gestation. It includes a routine antenatal check, evidence-based information, and space for open conversations about your questions, concerns, and preferences. Appointments may include monitoring your blood pressure, baby’s growth and wellbeing, discussing test results, preparing for birth, and supporting informed decision-making.

    I recommend an antenatal visit at 12, 14, 20, 24, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41 & 42wks

A birth preparation visit is a dedicated appointment focused on helping you feel informed, confident, and prepared for labour and birth. This visit provides space to explore your preferences, values, and priorities, and to develop a personalised birth plan that reflects what matters most to you. Partners or chosen support people are warmly encouraged to be involved.

During the appointment, we will discuss the stages of labour, your pain relief options, and commonly used routine birth interventions. We’ll talk through the benefits, risks, and alternatives of each option so you can make informed, evidence-based decisions about your care.

The aim is for both you and your support person to feel prepared, informed, and confident as you approach birth.

  • Postnatal visits provide personalised support during the weeks following birth, a time of significant physical, emotional, and lifestyle adjustment. These appointments focus on your recovery, your baby’s wellbeing, and supporting you as you transition into parenthood.

During a postnatal visit, your midwife will check your physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, and offer guidance on newborn care, feeding, and settling. Support may include breastfeeding assistance, infant weight checks, sleep guidance, mental health screening, and answering any questions or concerns you may have. Postnatal care is gentle, respectful, and tailored to your needs — ensuring you feel supported, informed, and confident during the early postnatal period.

TeleMidwife appointments are a convenient way to access midwifery support from the comfort of your home. These bulk-billed consultations are available via phone or Zoom and provide space to discuss your pregnancy care in a relaxed, supportive environment.

During your appointment, we can also order blood tests and ultrasounds, go through results, and answer general questions you may have about your pregnancy or care options.

Maybe you just want to talk to a midwife about your pain relief options and didn’t get enough time during your hospital appointment. You would continue to see the hospital team or GP for your physical check-ups and then book in TeleMidwife appointments for the education and support.

TeleMidwife is ideal if you’re seeking clarity, reassurance, or evidence-based information to support informed decision-making within the public health system.
